Several years before reaching the Grand Prix, Phil Hill proved his toughness and endurance on the Carrera Panamericana, a 1900-mile race up the spine of Mexico. This documentary gives you sense of how tough it must have been.
Do you have info on the race in the 1950s? If so, please share.
