Phil Hill in the Carrera Panamericana

Several years before reaching the Grand Prix, Phil Hill proved his toughness and endurance on the Carrera Panamericana, a 1900-mile race up the spine of Mexico. It has to qualify as racing most demanding event, with half-finished roads, insufferable heat and locals who often delighted in seeing the foreigners crash. This documentary gives you sense of how tough it must have been.

Do you have info on the race in the 1950s? If so, please share.
