In 1957 Peter Collins was a 26-year-old Englishmen with a ready smile and that British brand of athletic good looks. He was something of a big brother to Phil Hill and Wolfgang von Trips when they broke in with Ferrari. He was also one of the few drivers that Enzo Ferrari took to heart. In February of 1957 he met the American actress Louise King for a blind date in a restaurant beside the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami where she was performing in "The Seven Year Itch." Within a week they were married, a later that year they were living on a motor yacht moored in Monaco harbor. Less than two years later he died at the Nurburgring.
