Do Cars Have Gender?



It is customary to treats boats as females. "She lies at her mooring," for example. But what about cars? The Ferrari GTs, with their bodacious curves, seem to call for female pronouns. But are some cars a he?

  1. Nope. "She's a beaut". I had this discussion with my dad and some sailors and car aficionados, and they all agree: cars are girls.

  2. They are girls, aren't they? But it's odd because the engines are so masculine--hard charging pistons etc.
