A.J. Baime, in his excellent book "Go Like Hell" says the 1961 Italian Grand Prix at Monza was among the first televised races. Could this be true? Many of us have seen YouTube footage of earlier races that were produced for television. Did he mean to say that it was among the first to be televised live?
