Who Drove Into the Monte Carlo Railway Station?

By 1961 Monaco was the last of the Grands Prix run on city streets.  Cars could not build up much speed on the principality's twists and turns, but the smallest slip could send cars flying into street lamps or storefronts. A driver reportedly once missed a sharp left turn and rammed his car into the railway station (shown above). But who was it? Does anybody know? Discuss.
