Can You Identify These Drivers?

In his excellent book, The New Matadors, Ken Purdy describes a series of drivers. Can you help me identify them?

A. A loud mouthed braggart who cannot sleep without a photograph of his death brother on the night table.

B. A driver who deprived himself to support five distant relatives.

C. A driver who drove 350 miles in the night to bring a birthday present to his child.

D. Another who begged a friend to tie his hands to keep him from suicide.
